Frequently asked questions:
How high will my balustrade be?
It will be +-1000mm from the finished floor level.
What finish will my stainless steel balustrade have?
It will have a no4, satin finish, which is a brushed finish. Handrail holders and end caps will have a mirror finish (shiny)
How will my balustrade be fixed to the floor/slab?
A hole is usually core-drilled into the slab or floor through the tiles and then the stanchions are planted in with epoxy. Side-mount options are also available in some instances whereby side mount parts are attached to the side of the slab or staircase by means of chemical anchoring or epoxy.
Will I see the holes that you drilled into the concrete?
No, the holes will be covered with a stainless steel cover plate which is left loose on top of the tile/slab.
Do I have to do maintenance on my balustrade?
Yes, once in a while depending on where you live you will need to wipe clean or wash off your balustrade with a light mixture of dishwashing liquid and water. Adding oily substances is not a good idea since it weakens your stainless steels natural ability to protect itself and it attracts deposits of dirt etc. to accumulate on it.
